Pesantren Shuffle, East Java, Indonesia

Pesantren's 0-6-0T did not last long as the mill received cascaded Mallets from Ngadiredjo where the field lines had been closed. Unfortunately, the run from the road yard was slightly downhill so the Mallets were even quieter than normal as they shuffled to and fro. Cane loris here were unusual, they had struts on just one side and bound cane was used instead on the other. For most of the clip this is not apparent but it can be seen briefly from 00:35 onwards. At the time both O&K (e.g.182 here) and D&B were used indiscriminately but the latter eventually won out.
