Boscia Cactus Water Moisturizer Review

Boscia Cactus Water Moisturizer has made its mark in the skincare world with a fairly high concentration of Cereus grandiflorus (Cactus flower, or prickly pear cactus) extract.

Originally used in anti-hair loss products because of its ability to reduce the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase (Wella), cactus flower extract has also shown abilities to hydrate, moisturize, and condition the skin, with mild antioxidant properties as well.

Overall, I see Boscia Cactus Water Moisturizer as an alternative to belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb – around the same price point; similar hydrating abilities (Lady’s mantle in the belif product, versus Cactus flower in the Boscia product); and even similar texture (this Boscia product is a tad thicker, stickier, and tackier, but aside from that, pretty similar).

It’s a product that is “lovely to have” for moderately dry to very dry skin, and I recommend using it after a serum and before a moisturizer, should your skin need more hydration.

However, I don’t think this product is going to revolutionize your skin, because it just doesn’t have the potent ingredients in high concentration I like to see for that sort of thing (like retinoids, AHAs, peptides, hyaluronic acid, vitamins C and E, etc.). But, if you just want a mild moisturizer that works, this is a solid product, fancy messaging aside.
