Odessa is a destination on almost every Black Sea Cruise which is why the airport came as a surprise; one of the most unfriendly, cramped and difficult to use airports we've ever been in. Nothing is posted in English. Which check-in counter to use is not posted until 1-1/2 hours before a flight. And very few personnel walking around the airport speak English.

Immigration and security was fast but once through there, the waiting area is miniscule. Steve and I arrived for an International Departure 2-1/2 hours early (the usual) and sat around frustrated while the ex-Marine scoured the airport to find a person for information. When a check-in counter finally lights up with your flight number over it, everyone jumps up and rushes to form three long lines. Not a fun ending to a wonderful Ukraine cruise...
