A journey to self-acceptance | Ekaterina Karabasheva | TEDxDonauinsel
This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. When Ekaterina had a personal experience with an eating disorder, she decided to do something against this taboo topic. Wanting to change something for people in the recovery process of an eating disorder, she started the smartphone app Jourvie. Her vision is to make the therapy of eating disorders easier and more efficient for people with anorexia, bulimia or binge eating.
The 24-year-old finished her Master in Communication Science in Berlin, where she moved to from Sofia in Bulgaria. When she had a personal experience with an eating disorder, she decided to do something against this taboo topic and started the smartphone app Jourvie.
