Universal Studios Orlando Florida ~ Day 1

The day has finally arrived for our first day in Universal Studios Orlando Florida! We’ve been wanting to visit Universal Studios in Orlando Florida for a long time coming now. And it’s finally time to go enjoy ourselves in the park!

I have to say Universal Studios in Orlando Florida has got something special to be shared. As Walt Disney World fans we love going to theme parks and visiting all the Disney parks. However, we were a little nervous about Universal Studios as it wasn’t “Disney“. But I have to say all my worries were quickly set aside. We even had a real interaction with guest services that completely blew our mind. And I have to say Universal Studios is giving Disney customer service a run for their money.

Today we start off by visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This is our first time in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando. We have visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Los Angeles, but we understood it this was gonna be a bigger and better experience. We started off by going on the Escape from Gringotts ride. That ride totally surprised me. I wasn’t expecting quite what we received. From there we head over to eat at Leaky Cauldron. All the things I really liked about the Leaky Cauldron is that it wasn’t your typical theme park food. You’re able to enjoy some “English food“. Really just food that I was not expecting to eat at the theme park. From there we head over to Ollivanders and the kids both saved up enough money to buy their own wands. We were able to enjoy the area and experience the magic that is offered in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

After trying some Butterbeer and some Butterbeer ice cream we had over two Men in Black ride and have a little friendly competition and seewho could get the highest score through the alien attack. Emily of course saved the day.

From there we catch a couple shows. We see the Bourne Stuntacular and the Pet Actor show. We were also able to enjoy the thrills of the Transformers ride. We absolutely love transforms into this house.

From there the weather started moving in and we had to make our way indoors. We enjoyed the Jimmy Fallon ride. That was pretty fun as we are big Jimmy Fallon fans in this house.

From there we finish off the day with some pizza from Louie’s Italian Restaurant! While it wasn’t the best pizza in the world, it definitely beat out any of the pizza I ever had at Walt Disney World. One thing it really had going for it was it came out hot and fresh. That was a huge perk.

All in all today was a fun filled day in Universal Studios Orlando Florida. We absolutely enjoyed ourselves and can’t wait to go again.
