Should Women be Allowed in Special Operations Units?
Many women feel that the next step in women's rights and gender he quality is the allowing of women into special operations units. Still many believe that women have no place in combat units and should only fill support roles. There's no doubt this is a controversial subject and should be treated with care. I for one have zero desire to repress women or to stand in the way of women's rights, but I do think there is more to this question than meets the eye. Aside from the stringent physical demands and heritage to a combat unit, they're also exists a very delicate sociological balance within these units. Furthermore, I believe the sociological obstacles a woman would have to negotiate to survive in such a place would prove far harder than the physical demands.
In this video, i'm not trying to take a side, rather I would like to bring to light some difficulties with women in combat arms units that I do not hear discussed and I think is relevant to the topic. As exciting as it would be for women to laud their new female heroines who recently became Navy SEALs, Army Rangers, Marine Recon, Special Forces, PJs, or something else, I I think it prudent to slow down and consider the important stuff I don't hear anyone talking about.
