Cornish Mineworkers in Real del Monte-Pachuca, Mexico, Part Three (1824-2024)

Two hundred years ago, the first group of Cornishmen arrived at the silver mines in Mexico's Sierra Madre Orientale to begin work for the Real del Monte Mining Company. Their arrival began a remarkable story that has bound the mining nations of Cornwall and Mexico together for two centuries. In this, the third of three films, we join Cornish historian, Dr Sharron Schwartz, to discover what occurred when the men arrived at Real del Monte and what subsequently happened to them. Finally, we trace the long-lasting impact of their arrival and the legacy it has left on the district. Today Real del Monte and Pachuca are known as 'Mexico's Little Cornwall'.
