Hi everyone,
In one’s lifetime, we rarely come across songs that have the power to stir our souls and affect us in so many profound ways instantly, that is so poignant and spiritual and today I bring for all of you one of those which we all impassionedly remember as ‘Maa’.
Maa- it is a word that perhaps we all reach a blank in knowing how to describe as language also fails to capture the plethora of feelings it invokes in us. Fortunately for us, in 2007, in a movie called Taare Zameen Par , there came a song that embodies all that we carry within us, a song that sculpts out the pain, the heartache of separation with our mothers, a song that perhaps reminds us of that unspeakable umbilical union that we share. Composed by the ingenious trio of Shanka- Ehsaan-Loy and sung by Shankar Mahadevan , produced under the label of T series and its unforgettable lyrics were written by Prasoon Joshi.
This version of the song is again something I had sung a decade ago, and I dedicate this to my mother and all the mothers in the world without whom our existence and very being is incomplete. Hope you all like it .. :)
