We're huge fans of the latest Land Rover Discovery, or at least we were back in 2017 when we named it carsales Car of the Year.

Fast-forward four years and the Disco is now middle-aged so Land Rover has given it the mildest of nip and tucks for 2021.

Inside there's a faster, better-connected infotainment, plus a new cabin air filtration system. Under the bonnet, in come two mild-hybrid 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engines including a powerful new petrol powertrain.

The cheapest 2.0-litre turbo-diesel is gone and pricing has increased by a shocking $27,000. Let’s find out if the Discovery remains king of the hill.
