IRREGULAR LAND COMPENSATION: Ocailap takes responsibility for UGX10.6Bn approval

Members of parliament on the Public Accounts Committee want the Finance Minister Matia Kasaija, Deputy Secretary to the Treasury Patrick Ocailap and other sector officials held responsible for irregularly approving the payment of 10.6 billion shillings as land compensation for six claimants.

This follows the admission by both Kasaija and Ocailap that this payment was made based on a non-existent presidential directive.
