TMC Workers Stop AUJP Founder Humayun Kabir’s Visit To Murshidabad Bomb Site | Bengal Poll Violence

Tensions have escalated in Murshidabad during Phase 1 of the West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026. A crude bomb attack in Nowda has left several injured, marking the second such incident in the district within 24 hours. This follows a blast near Shivnagar Primary School that injured a woman last night.

Adding to the unrest, a scuffle broke out between TMC workers and Aam Janata Unnayan Party (AUJP) founder Humayun Kabir. The clash occurred when TMC supporters blocked Kabir from visiting the blast site in Nowda. With the Election Commission of India (ECI) already keeping the district under strict surveillance due to consistent violence, security has been further heightened to ensure the safety of voters.
