East Grand Adventure Race 2017

Annual East Grand Adventure Race in the Danforth, Maine area hosted by the East Grand School's Outdoor Education Program the 2nd Saturday of May. Includes a 1 mile compass run, 10 miles of mountain biking mostly on back woods roads and trails, fun challenges that have included log rolling in the Baskahegan Stream, tough mudder crawl, culvert crawl, scaling wall, paintball and more that can earn time off your overall course time. Also included is 8 miles of paddling (canoe or Kayak) on the Baskahegan Stream. Race in pairs, nine divisions include adult men. women, mixed, High School student boy, girl, mixed, Jr/Sr, family.and open divisions. Open division can be relay team, solo, etc. The family division includes the compass run, challenges and paddling only legs leaving out the biking leg making the event more desirable for those not up to biking and those with younger kids. There is a separate 34 mile canoe and kayak race that runs in conjunction with the adventure race and may include solo, tandem and open entries such as four person teams. Entry fee is $20.00 per person, includes cookout, race t-shirt and trophies. Over $1000.00 in awards in the student divisions!
