Japanese Soldiers Touch The US M2010 Sniper Rifle & US-Japan Sniper Training

Soldiers from the 76th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, U.S. Army National Guard of Indiana and the 21st Infantry Regiment, 9th Division, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) conduct sniper cross training during Orient Shield 2018 in Japan from August 26 to September 19, 2018. Since its inception in 1985, Orient Shield has focused on the development and refinement of the JGSDF and U.S. Army’s efforts in the areas of bilateral planning, coordination and interoperability. This exercise underscores a continued commitment by the United States and Japan to work as dedicated partners in support of the Japan-U.S. security alliance and for peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
