US-Japan Joint Infantry Combat Live Fire Exercise In Japan

Soldiers of the 76th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, U.S. Army National Guard of Indiana and the 21st Infantry Regiment, 9th Division, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) conduct a live fire exercise during Orient Shield 2018 at Ojojihara Maneuver Area, Japan from August 26 to September 19, 2018. Since its inception in 1985, Orient Shield has focused on the development and refinement of the JGSDF and U.S. Army’s efforts in the areas of bilateral planning, coordination and interoperability. This exercise underscores a continued commitment by the United States and Japan to work as dedicated partners in support of the Japan-U.S. security alliance and for peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.

2018年8月26日から9月19日まで行われる陸上自衛隊(第9師団･第21普通科連隊)とアメリカ陸軍(第76歩兵旅団戦闘団)との合同軍事演習オリエントシールド2018での、王城寺原演習場(宮城県)で行われた実弾射撃演習。
