This recording is the second I have made with my classical guitar (the first was a video I made of a cover of the Pink Floyd song, Is There Anybody Out There). My Morris classical guitar is the first guitar I ever owned and I have had it since I first started playing, back when I was a child. Last year I got it restored. It had been sitting in a closet, dirty and in desperate need of repairs and hadn't been played in many years. I wrote my first songs on this guitar back when I was barely a teenager and so there is a great deal of nostalgia attached to this instrument.

I felt like writing an instrumental piece and I picked up my Martin guitar, which is my go-to and my favorite. It had been in a different tuning, so I went to tune it to the tuning for this song (open G) and as I did so, a string broke and I didn't have any spare strings on hand. I think that was the Universe's way of telling me, "pssst. Use the classical for this one". Good call. It's perfect for this piece.

I was in a serene and contemplative mood when I composed this song and I hope that energy comes through. I hope you enjoy it and I hope it brings you peace.
