Awesome Shoulder Stretch You NEED To Do!
Do you have tight shoulders? Maybe old injuries have resulted in decreased shoulder mobility?
I get it! At 60, with previous shoulder injuries from my younger days, I deal with shoulder restriction. So I make sure to work on a lot of shoulder stretches before every workout.
Here's one of my favorites!
Hold a broomstick with your elbow at 90 degrees. Have the broomstick along the outside of your upper arm. Use your other arm to apply tension so that you stretch your shoulder into external rotation. When you feel a comfortable stretch, maintain the tension but now start raising your arm up. When you can not go any further, hold for 30 seconds. Perform 3 times on each side.
