Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love - Full Band Cover - Guitar Cover

My first Led Zeppelin song! All the instruments you hear and see in this video have been done by me. I used the isolated vocal tracks found on Youtube to fill what would have been silence at the vocal only part which is near the end of song.

Both the guitar and the bass play double notes on the D note of the main riff, with one fretted at the fifth fret of the A string and the other the open D string. During the guitar solo, I used a wah pedal positioned fully on to achieve the classic guitar tone Jimmy Page had. The wah pedal also creates the slight "wah" sound for the first note of the solo.

I believe the middle section was inserted after the basic track was recorded, with Bonham being a metronome on the high-hat. Listening to the isolated drum track, you can hear a slight tempo change right before the snare drum enters to introduce the solo. It is my opinion that this was an edit made during the production because the middle and main section tempos were not exactly the same. The slide guitar in the middle section was done by tuning the strings low and running the slide randomly over the neck while a constant stereo panning effect was applied. After hearing the isolated rhythm guitar track, I concluded that a theremin was not used on the studio recording as many believe, but instead, scratching a pick over the strings with a large amount of delay and reverb. The sound produced on the recording seems too harsh and scratchy to be a theremin. Jimmy Page probably used the theremin live because it was able to make sounds similar to both the detuned slide guitar and pick scratches.
