In the dark night, the matriarch and her calf, followed at 80 metres by three other members of the family, quietly advance on a track crossing the Gabonese jungle. Suddenly she feels the presence of a leopard lurking in a bush, ready to leap on her calf: Trumpeting at all full force to make this predator flee and she calls the rest of the family to the rescue.

Na noite escura, a matriarca e seu bezerro, seguidos a 80 metros por outros três membros da família, avançam calmamente por uma trilha que atravessa a selva gabonesa. De repente, ela sente a presença de um leopardo à espreita num arbusto, pronto para saltar sobre a sua cria: Trombeta com toda a força para fazer esse predador fugir e ela chama o resto da família para o resgate.

Dans la nuit sombre, la matriarche et son veau, suivies à 80 mètres par trois autres membres de la famille, avancent tranquillement sur une piste traversant la jungle gabonaise. Soudainement elle sent la présence d’un léopard tapis dans un buisson, prêt à bondir sur son veau : Elle pousse un barrissement pour faire fuir ce prédateur et appeler à la rescousse le reste de la famille.
