Join me as I mudlark along the River Thames in central London and where I meet up with Richard Hemery, the "Professor of Pottery" who knows all there is to know about the pottery you find scattered along the Thames foreshore. It's astounding how much history is at your feet when you arrive on the foreshore. Richard explains to me the stories behind the fragments which I pick up - from Roman rooftiles to Medieval drinking jugs!
