Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland is a city for people who love to eat. In this 5 part video series we’re sharing the food culture of Dominion Rd- one of Auckland’s go to spots to experience traditional cuisines from all around the world.

In this video we’re going behind the scenes of Auckland’s best pie at Cazador Delicatessen, a wagyu bolognese, béchamel and 2 cheese concoction created in one of the city’s most respected kitchens. We share Udon Works a Japanese restaurant churning out phenomenal bowls of udon and devour a sweet and sour grilled fish hotpot at Jun’s Grill Fish, a local favourite. What we ate and where we ate it:

1. Wagyu mince and cheese pie at Cazador Delicatessen, 854 Dominion Road, Mount Eden, Auckland 1041. Open 8:00am to 2:00pm Sunday to Tuesday, 8:00am to 3:00pm Wednesday and Thursday and 8:00am to 4:00pm Friday and Saturday.

2. Grilled fish with tomato at Jun’s Grill Fish, 331 Dominion Road, Mount Eden, Auckland 1024. Open 11:30am to 3:00pm and 5:00pm to 10:00pm Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and 11:30am to 3:00pm Friday and 11:30am to 10:00pm Saturday and Sunday.

3. Spicy miso nikomi udon and katsu curry udon at Udon Works, 633 Dominion Road, Mount Eden, Auckland 1041. Open Thursday to Monday 11:30am to 2:00pm and 5:30pm to 9:00pm.
