Over the next few weeks we’re taking you on a round the world food tour via Auckland’s best restaurants sharing the diverse range of cuisines our city has to offer. In this video we’re hunting down some of the best spots for Northern Chinese food. We take you into the kitchen of a locals favourite where you’ll find some of the best seafood dumplings in the city. We eat traditional northern street food of liang pi- cold skin noodles and roujiamo the world’s oldest burger and share a feast of chunbing- spring pancakes. 1. Pork, prawn and chive & fish and chive dumplings at Tianze Dumpling House, 695 Sandringham Road, Sandringham, Auckland 1041, New Zealand. Open Wednesday to Monday 11:30am to 10:00pm. Closed Tuesday.

2. Chunbing (spring pancakes) at Da Di Spring Pancake, upstairs of Jimi Jimi & Cha, 660 Dominion Road, Mount Eden, Auckland 1041, New Zealand.

3. Liang pi (cold skin noodles) and roujiamo (braised pork burger) at Xi’an Food Bar, 650 Dominion Road, Mount Eden, Auckland 1041, New Zealand. Open 7 days, 11:30am to 9:30pm.
