The Sikh Vision of Oneness | Dr. Simran Jeet Singh

Sikhism began 550 years ago in Punjab, a region rich with diversity but divided by hierarchy and conflict. In this clip from the Templeton Ideas podcast, Dr. Simran Jeet Singh shares how Guru Nanak's radical teaching — the oneness of all creation — still speaks to today's world.

Dr. Simran Jeet Singh is the Executive Director for the Aspen Institute’s Religion & Society Program (RSP) and author of The Light We Give: How Sikh Wisdom Can Transform Your Life. He is a scholar and historian of religion who has taught multiple traditions in different settings, including Islamic Studies at Trinity University in Texas and Buddhist Histories at Union Seminary in New York City. Dr. Singh’s curiosity about seeking wisdom across various worldviews is sincere, compelling, and captivating.
