‘All walks of life’ gathering for Anzac Day services
Shadow Infrastructure Minister Bridget McKenzie says Australians of all ages and “walks of life” have come together as a community to honour Anzac Day.
Australians have gathered around the nation to honour those who have served.
Ms McKenzie said it’s “so powerful” to see young people hearing the Anzac stories.
“I think part of both the speeches I heard today were not glorifying war; being quite realistic about the impact of war on communities,” she told Sky News Australia.
“A day like today gives us a chance to pause and reflect and think outside of ourselves.”
