Since the stay-at-home orders and teleworking orders, many of us have experienced a dramatic change in what our time means to us. Even though we might think this experience is unique to us, it is not.
Those who lived through the Industrial Revolution experienced a very similar shift in how they looked at time. The difference between living on a farm and working in a textile mill was drastic, and those who became mill workers were forced to adapt to a new way of life in which the factory bell became the dictator of your day.
