4K Train Drivers View: Oslo to Halden Cabview in Norway

Todays train ride takes us on the extremely scenic route from Oslo to Halden along the East Line (Østfoldbanen), over the West Branch (Vestre Linje). And if you like this video, please consider subscribing. I know you hear that everywhere but it really does help immensely. Thank you! ❤️

We start the video straight as we come out of the tunnell on the outskirts of Oslo and head into Bekkelaget on our way south. I tried recording the beginning from Oslo as well, but my inexperience with recording video means I couldnt get the camera working in time. This unfortunatly also happens at Ski as I tried to adjust the camera and I couldnt get it working in time. Here we skip a couple of minutes ahead to just as we exit Ski station and come into the high speed part.

This is one of my biggest areas of improvement I think, so please bear with me as I keep figuring this out. I have been working on getting more batteries and a better routine and I think I will have it completely solved in just a few more videos.

With this video I am also starting to experiment with how I want my videos to look and how to make that happen. As you can see I am adding a map with our route to the start of the video and I hope you enjoy that. I will continue improving the quality and the feel of it, so please share your thoughts so I know if this is to your liking.

More excitingly I've added some light narration to the beginning. I pondered for a long time if I wanted to out myself, so to speak, but I think it can add a lot to the videos. This was recorded on my cellphone so the quality isn't the best, but it's a start. Please let me know in the comments down what info I can provide to help get you ready for the journey.

This Train Drivers View (Cabview) video from Norway was shot in Ultra HD 4K on a GoPro Hero 8 Black. Make sure you watch it in 2160p if possible as it makes YouTube give you the by far best bitrate, even if you are on a 1080p screen or on mobile. And as I was informed by a viewer this is also where RailCowGirl started her filming. Maybe you can see if anything has changed these past 7 years?
