MEXICAN POPPIES 2017

The Mexican Gold Poppies blanket the high Sonoran Desert in the Tonto National Forest near Rattlesnake Cove. The year is 2017 as I wandered among the golden poppies all the while being very aware of rattlesnakes. I found one!!! After a quick photo session with the old rattler I beat a hasty retreat to safer ground. It was a beautiful day among the blanket of gold. Phil G. Giriodi.
