Fishing Elmer Davis in Kentucky- Kayak Bass Fishing & Exploring A Beautiful Lake

I took my Hobie Lynx kayak to Northern Kentucky's Elmer Davis Lake to see what the bass fishing is like there. I've been doing a lot of research on Northern Kentucky lakes for an upcoming Cincinnati Kayak Fishing (@Strictlykayakfishing ) NKY Waters tournament where any public water in KY north of Lexington is eligible, and I've narrowed it down to a list of about 8 lakes I wanted to see in person if possible before picking. Elmer Davis looked like a strong candidate for my tournament lake in my research but when I was fishing there it just didn't click with my style as well as I would have liked. It is a beautiful lake with big bass potential, but it is a long, skinny lake where every boat I saw beat the banks. I hate being in a line of boats going down the bank, so this lake could possibly turn into a favorite in the future after I take the time to graph the offshore parts of the lake and find some stuff off the merry-go-round, but for now I'm moving on to the next lake on the list as my search continues. I'd absolutely recommend this lake to anyone, especially a kayaker because of all of the nooks and crannies we can get into, who wants to spend a day on a gorgeous lake with potential good fishing.
