I flew all the way back to Italy to surprise my parents, ahead of my mom's 60th birthday next week ❤️

Before Christmas, they were both in a bad car accident and are still recovering, so at this time this trip felt even more urgent and important to me.

Showing up out of the blue definitely cheered them up (and it filled me with joy to be able to do something like that).

I've been blessed with a family that loves me and accepts me for who I am, and that has come to terms with me living far away. That's why I cheer every opportunity to be reunited, both during difficult times and in times of celebation 🎉
