CRUISING THE MANCHESTER SHIP CANAL // EPISODE 31
@TheTravellingDuo continue their escape off the RIVER WEAVER onto the MANCHESTER SHIP CANAL - this canal was built to allow vessels to transport goods from the Irish Sea to Cheshire and into Manchester - this took 6 years to complete and sadly 130 men died during its construction - QUEEN VICTORIA open the canal in 1894. We enjoyed cruising alongside the "big boys", experiencing and taking in the historic route....
