Green seasoning // Caribbean Seasoning

Welcome back to my kitchen!! Today we're mixing up some carribean green seasoning. This is a mixture commonly used in west Indian households and cooking to prepare and season our meats before cooking. This seasoning can be used for chicken, pork, or beef!

We're using green onions/ chives/ scallions, cilantro, regular onion, and garlic. If you have you can feel free to add banana pepper, or pimento pepper, celery. You'll need a container for storage, something with a lid like an old spaghetti sauce jar or Chinese food container. Im using an old container I bought some chopped veggies in from a local supermarket. You'll also need some vinegar and your blender or food processor.

Blending your seasoning with vinegar will allow you to store if for 6-8months, in a cool dark place or inside your fridge. If you use water, I'd suggest you keep it for 6-8weeks. Yes, vinegar extends the shelf life alot! Lol.
