Glazed Citrus Doodles | Everyday Food with Sarah Carey
Do you like those cookies with the funny name, snickerdoodles? I have a take on those that I like even better than the originals. I call them citrus doodles. Instead of cinnamon, the main flavoring comes from orange and lemon zest, resulting in a tangy and totally addictive cookie that's soft in the middle and crisp on the edges, with a sweet and shiny glaze to boot.

1/4 teaspoon fine salt
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 tablespoons grated orange zest, plus 3 tablespoons juice (from 2 oranges)
4 teaspoons lemon zest, plus 3 tablespoons juice (from 2 lemons)
2 large eggs
2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
