On The Newshour Agenda with Swati Joshi, As per an IANS report, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in its supplementary chargesheet filed in connection with the alleged Rs 3,600 crore VVIP chopper deal case has claimed that Puri arranged money to the tune of $6.5 lakh in the bank accounts of Dubai-based hawala operator Rajiv Saxena's companies in 2011 from Michel’s Global Services FZE. In 2017, the central probe agency had filed a chargesheet against then IAF Chief SP Tyagi, and 11 other accused.

In a major development in the alleged AgustaWestland VVIP choppers scam, Enforcement Directorate sources have claimed that senior Congress leader Kamal Nath’s nephew Ratul Puri and his two sons (Nakul Nath and Bakul Nath) were alleged beneficiaries of kickbacks what were received as a part of the helicopters deal. Kamal Nath’s nephew Ratul Puri allegedly got $1 million from British national and alleged middleman Christian Michel James.
