Sky Remote Dead

Here’s how to replace the batteries in a Sky remote control (Sky+ HD Rev. 9F):

Tools & Materials:

Two AA batteries (preferably alkaline for longer life).

Instructions:

Turn Over the Remote
Flip the remote control over so you’re looking at the back.

Locate the Battery Cover
You’ll see a small textured area at the bottom of the remote.

Slide the Cover Off

Press down lightly on the textured area.

Push the cover downward to slide it off.

Remove the Old Batteries
Take out the two old AA batteries and note their orientation (look at the + and - ends).

Insert New Batteries

Insert the new AA batteries into the compartment.

Ensure the positive (+) and negative (-) ends match the symbols inside the compartment.

Replace the Battery Cover

Line up the cover with the remote.

Slide it back up until it clicks into place.

Test the Remote
Point the remote at your Sky box and press any button to ensure it’s working properly.

If the remote doesn’t work after replacing the batteries, double-check the orientation of the batteries and ensure they’re new and fully charged.
