While most of us consider airplanes as merely a means of transport, this montage aims to remind us how spectacular aviation really is, as plane spotters wave to 80 tons of metal flying low over their head.

This airport became viral 10 years ago thanks to Air Italy’s low 737 landing, which was succeeded by this year’s record landing by Wizz Air, further spreading the news about the Greek island with the spectacularly low landings. Although criticised for being dangerous, plane spotting at this airport poses no threats if the warning signs are respected.
