HER FIRST Overnight at the Off Grid Cabin! | Fire Plate, Burgers and Movie Night

Most of the off grid cabin in the woods is complete, so we pack the family up and spend a night enjoying the woods in between our busy city life filled with day-jobs and hockey. We cook up some hamburgers on the BBQ and dive into some snacks. Our usual Friday night is movie night, and since the cabin is outfitted with inergy from our Apex unit, we fire up the laptop and take a break.

Before the family arrives, we install the metal plate under the wood stove which will protect the flooring from melting or becoming a fire hazard. We are going to be heating the cabin with a small wood stove. We will also be able to cook on the wood stove.

I'll show you our sleeping arrangements consisting of cots by Teton and a sleep pad which my son, Holden will use. I also like to use two sleeping bags as the weather is starting to cool off.
