“Do People Matter in the Digital Era: The Power of Digital Humanism to Balance Value and Ethics”

Rapid advances in technology bring us closer to the reality of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to perform tasks and accomplish goals like humans, and play an increasingly important role in creating business value.  But the integration of man and machine forces us to address some potentially uncomfortable questions and examine the proper balance between business value and human ethics.
 
In this presentation, Mr. Joseph Bradley, Global Vice President of the Customer Experience, Incubation Services and Technology at Cisco, shares his principles of digital humanism.  It starts with an understanding of how value is created based on the premise that it is not valuable until it is connected to people.  The good intentions of inclusion and diversity requires a deeper examination in a world of machines and AI.  And secure data is just as important as data integrity—ensuring that the data is correct.
