First Blood at Leadville 100 miles ultra marathon

There's always something that goes wrong during an ultra marathon...something that makes you wonder if you can finish.

For me, that "First Blood" at #leadville100 happened at Twin Lake outbound (~40)... A salt pill got stuck in my throat with pretty steep consequences. Given how hot it was, falling behind by 2-3L and a few hours worth of nutrition was...an issue. And from then on, my stomach was too irritated to eat almost anything.
