How Kyuss Made History and Pioneered Stoner Rock / Desert Rock

As Stoner Rock pioneers Kyuss, Josh Homme, Nick Oliveri, Brant Bjork, John Garcia, Scott Reeder and Alfredo Hernández redefined heavy/hard rock. From the Californian Desert, the band created a sound of such earth-quaking proportions that it birthed a new genre. Working with Chris Goss, three of the four albums they made rank among the most overlooked of the 1990s: 'Blues For The Red Sun', 'Welcome To Sky Valley' and '...And The Circus Leaves Town'. With this video, we take a look back and review how Kyuss made history with their unmistakable psychedelic rumble.
