Let’s talk about rising gas prices. You know what that is. It’s the thing that is making a lot of Americans cry while stuck in traffic right now. Gas prices are insane these days because of a few things but mostly it is because of the war between Ukraine and Russia. Different bans and embargos have put the US and the rest of the world in a bad spot.
When it comes to gas prices all states are not created equal. There is almost a 3 dollar per gallon difference between the highest and lowest. One of the main factors for this difference is taxes and fees. The federal government adds.18$ to every gallon. And then states start rifling through your pockets for whatever they can get.
Today's video is just the average gas price by state. Depending on where you live in the state there can be sizeable differences between different areas in the state. In California I had 2 friends post gas prices. One was in Santa Monica and the other was near the Arizona border in California and Santa Monica was over $2 more.
These numbers are the average published today March 10 2022 by the AAA. They have an average of $4.30 today.
