Beetronics Nectar Tone Sweetener | Overdrive & Fuzz tones on Les Paul and Telecaster | Review & Demo
This is the Beetronics Nectar, an overdrive and fuzz pedal that is meant be act as a tone sweetener for every guitar player, regardless of the kind of music you play or the kind of gear you use!
At Thomann: https://thmn.to/thoprod/578137?offid=1&affid=1250
At Sweetwater: https://sweetwater.sjv.io/5gxJg3
The Nectar is actually the first Beetronics pedal I’ve played for more than five minutes, and it’s a great way to start with the brand, because this is possibly the most ‘normal’ pedal they make.
A simple, 3-knob affair (with a switch to move between Drive and Fuzz), it delivers overdrive tones spanning from a vintage tweed-style crunch to a full-bodied overdrive, and a fuzz that goes from light and crunchy to crushing modern high gain. All you need to do is tweak the Volume, Honey (gain) and Taste (tone) controls to… erm, taste.
Made in the USA, and costing $199/€239, the Nectar is as beautiful and high quality as every other Beetronics creation I’ve seen, and in this video, I test it out in as many musical styles as possible, using my Fender Telecaster for single coil tones, and my Epiphone Les Paul for humbucking sounds.
We’ll cover everything from pop, folk and blues to indie and garage rock, classic rock and hard rock, and even a bit of down-tuned metal! I also do a couple of loops where we really get to twist the knobs and flick between the Drive and Fuzz settings to really hear the full versatility of the Nectar. Let me know what you think of it in the comments!
Here are some links to the various playing samples and info bits:

41:21 My conclusions on the Nectar and why you should buy it
My setup was as follows: I ran the Nectar straight into my Hughes & Kettner Black Spirit 200 head. That went from the amp’s Red Box DI straight into my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4, which went into Logic Pro X. That's it. No post-processing on the sounds was done. Oh, and I used my Boss RC-10R to play the loops.
Here’s some links to those bits of gear:
