After about 24 attempts - along with running out of nethershards and having to take a break to go farm them, having the Legion invasions run out of time while doing so, and being forced to scrape some up from the Broken Shore - I succeeded. I know I made plenty of mistakes in this video thanks to my nerves being shot, but RNG was on my side.

Something I learned AFTER completing this: In some other artifact challenge videos I watched, people were able to kill Raest without killing Karam and it counted toward the quest. If that was intentional, I guess I did it the hard way...
