Utrecht defeat Groningen 1-0 to advance to Europa Conference League playoff final | ECL

Simon Gustafson's 77th-minute goal earned Utrecht a 1-0 victory over Groningen on 19th May and a place in the Europa Conference League playoff final.

In a game of few chances - there was just one shot on target in the opening 45 minutes - Arjen Robben came close to breaking the deadlock in the 53rd minute, his free-kick deflected onto a post.

Following Gustafson's fine strike, Mike te Wierik really should have drawn Groningen level.

Beaten just once now in their last ten games, Utrecht advance to the final against Feyenoord.
