FINAL FLIGHT | Delta Airlines - Boeing 777 200 - New York (JFK) to Los Angeles (LAX)

On October 31, I flew on Delta's 777 retirement flight. The ride from New York to Los Angeles was the last passenger/revenue flight for their entire fleet. Although I was seated in an aisle, I got to enjoy the celebration just as much as those in a window seat.

Delta had originally never planned to retire the 777 so soon, but due to the current pandemic, the airline wanted to reshape its heavy aircraft. Delta’s fleet of 18 777 was the backbone for their super long haul flights (Africa, Asia, Australia).
