🐟Species description:
Kuori Char:
The Kuori Char is an endemic form of the Arctic char. The population of this fish was discovered in the 50s of the last century in the north-west of Russia in a small lake of Kuori. Like the Arctic char, it refers to a related salmon species. It leads to a predatory life. The basis of its diet is crustaceans, insect larvae and juvenile fish. Hallmark Kuori chars are large, up to one and a half meters in size and bright colourations of the body.

Arctic Char:
The Arctic Char is closely related to the salmonids. They spawn in the rivers of Iceland, Norway, Spitsbergen, Novaya Zemlya, along the coast of Siberia (the Ob, Yenisei), in the rivers of Canada, Alaska and Greenland. Local forms are found in alpine lakes and the Baikal basin. They live in the Pacific basin: from Korea to California. They lead a predatory life. Arctic char feed on invertebrates and fish. The char reach a length of 80 cm and a mass of 15 kg. Body colour is silvery, the back is bluish-grey, the sides are covered with large light spots. Covered with very small scales. At the entrance to the river, the fish darkens, the back acquires a greenish-brown colour, and the sides are covered with numerous red-orange spots. The belly is usually greyish-white, but the spawning char is bright red. Characteristic of these fish is the arrangement of the nests. Irrigated eggs are protected by the guard, actively driving away other fish. The young char spends 3-4 years in the river, then goes to sea.
🐟Waterbody description:
There is a lake named Kuori in the land of forest ponds and impassable thickets. Its smooth surface conceals a complicated terrain full of deep cavities. The lake is rich in underwater fauna and is perfectly suited for different methods of bank fishing and fishing from a boat. The fine architecture and cosy ambience of the fishing base deserve special mention. Besides, there is a boat station at the lake.
To access this water body you have to be level 16.
