🐟Species description:
The Char is a lake-dwelling salmonid fish of genus Salvelinus, native to the Alps, Scandinavia, Scotland and Northern European Russia. Sometimes its forms found in the lakes of Siberia and Far East are described as separate species. Char mainly live in lakes, an exception is that it may sometimes be found in rivers. Two forms of char occur in Lake Ladoga and Lake Onega: red (also known as ludoga char) and grey (or ridge char). The red char is a large fish, that weights from 5 to 7 kg, its colouring is darker (the back is dark green, sometimes shimmering with bluish tinge, it is lighter along the flanks, its belly and throat are orange), with plenty of white spots, paired fins are yellow, unpaired fins are grey. Front rays of pectoral, pelvic and anal fins and lower rays of the caudal fin are milky white. Char prefers shallows. Grey char lives at the depth of about 70 to 150 m, its colouring is lighter, it is grey without orange spots, still, the white colour of rays on its fins is clearly visible. Its average weight normally doesn’t exceed 2 kg, rarely it reaches 4 or 5 kg.
The Kuori Char is an endemic form of the Arctic char. The population of this fish was discovered in the 50s of the last century in the north-west of Russia in a small lake of Kuori. Like the Arctic char, it refers to a related salmon species. It leads to a predatory life. The basis of its diet is crustaceans, insect larvae and juvenile fish. Hallmark Kuori chars are large, up to one and a half meters in size and bright colourations of the body.

🐟Waterbody description:
There is a lake named Kuori in the land of forest ponds and impassable thickets. Its smooth surface conceals a complicated terrain full of deep cavities. The lake is rich in underwater fauna and is perfectly suited for different methods of bank fishing and fishing from a boat. The fine architecture and cozy ambience of the fishing base deserve special mention. Besides, there is a boat station at the lake.
To access this water body you have to be level 16.
