Two TOMAHAWKS From Rusty AXE
Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new DIY and restoration may be a project too. I found this old rusty a cracked axe at a flea market. It's welded. As you know, I like axe, hatchet and today I will made two tomahawks from rusty axe head.
It was not easy. I spent almost two weeks to make these tomahawks. First, I removed rust and dirty from the axe head. Then I cleaned the surface via iron brushes on my drill. And I got down to the hard part. Cutting the axe into two equal parts. Next, I sanded the surfaces and began to create the poll. To make one parts a spent two hours. I used just files and a lot of sandpapers. When the tomahawks head was ready I started to make the handles.
My new tool, which I recently restored, helped me in my work drawknife. For the handles, I used my homemade wax to impregnate the wood. As always, I made a test for you. I hope you will enjoy this DIY and renovation project.
Sincerely, Alex. Thanks for attention!
Good luck and health to everyone! With best wishes, Alex!
