Meeblip Micro DIY Synth with Korg EMX1 - Sofa - by earmonkey

First, please excuse my sloppy playing on this piece and the "thrown together" feel. It's really just a demonstration of my nifty DIY synth. While my performance is not really polished the sounds are very cool. I built a Meeblip Micro several months ago. People have seen the picture of its pretty yellow paint job with the colorful knobs, but some have been saying, "Well what does that box do?" This song features the Meeblip on bass and lead synth.

The first 8 bars are the foundation, laid down by a Korg EMX. The dynamic bass and the lead synths are all Meeblip. I really dig the Moog-ish lead sound. The glide is really nice and the synth just feels good to play. This thing feels organic, like you're playing it but it has its own mind and is helping out a bit. That might sound strange, but it's true.

Anyway, this is a little demo of some things the Meeblip can do. The drums are all from the EMX, and running through a KAOSSPAD QUAD to get some of the effects on them. The reverb and delay are from Ableton. Hope you enjoy!
