Automatic - by Earmonkey (M Audio Venom, NI Massive, NI FM8, Memorymoon Messiah, CS-80V)

A new experiment for me. I tried taking a more minimal approach to this and mixing some very different types of sounds. The piece develops slowly and really gets going about 2:00 in. I used M-Audio Venom for the blips and squeaks which it is surprisingly adept at creating. Memorymoon Messiah is a great Prophet 5 VST and provides the octave bass. Native Instruments Massive for the low sine/sub bass (which you won't hear if you have crappy speakers), and NI FM8 for the little melody (if you can call it that).

Arturia CS-80V for the arpeggiated sections. I absolutely love that soft synth. Not sure if it really sounds like a CS-80, but it has a very cool atmospheric quality.

The Rhodes is just an Ableton instrument as are the drums and percussion at the end.

Hope you enjoy. The idea was to just put this on and chill. Hope I achieved that.

Not sure why it's chopping off the last few seconds of audio. Did that on the last one I uploaded. Maybe it's movie maker.
