EVERYTHING You Missed in the MANDALORIAN SEASON 2 Trailer - (FULL BREAKDOWN)- Sabine, Ilum, Mon Cala

Mandalorian Season 2 trailer has FINALLY dropped, with Sabine Wren, Ilum, Mon Cala and more! Ahsoka was sadly not included :(

The day we have all been waiting for is finally here! The trailer for the Mandalorian Season 2 has finally dropped and it has revealed some incredible new details about the the Mando’s journey in season 2. So I’m going to breakdown everything we know about the Mandalorian Season 2 trailer, including some awesome connections to the Clone Wars, Rebels, Jedi Fallen Order and the Star Wars novels.

The trailer begins with the Razor Crest flying over an unknown Gas Giant, with a small moon nearby. I did see a lot of you guys saying that this was Yavin Prime and Yavin 4, but I don’t think so because Yavin prime is more of a reddish colour. There is also a blueish, green moon very close by, which would be Yavin 4 if this gas giant is Yavin Prime, but for now I’m not too sure. It could also be Endor, and the Forest Moon of Endor, since they are both very similar in color to the two we see here and we know Mandalorian season 2 is only set 5 or 6 years after the Battle of Endor. The Razorcrest also does appear to be slightly damaged in this shot, with it’s cargo door stuck open, so maybe it has to land somewhere quickly for repairs. Either way, you guys let me know what you think down below!

Following that we see Din Djarin and the child on what looks to be a desert world, like Nevarro, but there are a lot of city lights in the background, pointing to somewhere slightly more populated. Now I’m going to make a huge call here and say this is possible a drier area of the planet Lothal, the homeworld of Ezra Bridger and the focus of a big part of Star Wars rebels. This is backed up by the next shot where Din Djarin and the Child are walking through a dry street with Graffiti and city lights. If any of you guys have seen Rebels, you’ll definitely get a feeling that this is an eerily similar location. The architecture of the buildings and the street lights certainly match what we’ve seen from Lothal in Star Wars Rebels, so it honestly wouldn’t surprise me if Mando was sent there to find a certain Rebel Mandalorian who features later in the trailer, which I’ll break down very shortly. But again, this is just a wild theory, and the location is probably somewhere else.

In this shot, you can also see some red eyes peeking out from a small dark space to the left of the Mandalorian. Now initially, I didn’t think this was a Jawa, because the ones that we’ve seen on Tatooine usually had Yellow eyes, but the Jawas found on Arvala-7 actually have Red eyes, probably evolving separately. This could certainly point to the planet being Arvala-7, rather than Lothal, since Lothal didn’t really have this much dryness and sand in the main streets.

After that, we get a shot which is one of the only places that we can say for certain. This is almost definitely Tatooine, as we can see a Tusken Raider riding a massive Bantha, as the Razorcrest flies in. The shot itself doesn’t really give away anything, but the fact that we’re returning to Tatooine once again is an almost sure sign that Boba Fett will be appearing the show, as all of the rumours have said. We do know from the aftermath series of Novels that Boba Fett’s armor was actually collected by a self-proclaimed sheriff on Tatooine, called Cobb Vanth, who stole the armor and wore it himself. Because of this, the first time we see Boba Fett’s armour, it will almost certainly be worn by Cobb Vanth, and maybe he’ll have a classic western showdown to take it back from the imposter. Either way, let me know how you think they will introduce Boba Fett in the Mandalorian Season 2.

In the next shot, we get an absolutely massive scene, where Din Djarin is piloting the Razorcrest above an icy world. Initially, most of our minds would have gone straight to hoth, which is definitely still a possibility, but more likely, I think this is Illum from The Clone Wars and Jedi Fallen Order. For those of you who don’t know, Ilum is a sacred Jedi planet that was used by the Jedi Order for many generations to gather the Kyber crystals which powered their Lightsabers. It was later invaded by the Empire, who mined the entire world for kyber crystals to power the death star, and after that it was further destroyed, when the First Order took control of it and turned it into StarKiller Base. Star Killed base was of course destroyed in The Force Awakens, but the Mandalorian Season 2 is set many years before that, so it’s definitely possible. Those of us who have watched the Jedi younglings Clone Wars arc and played through to Ilum in Jedi Fallen order will probably feel that this place is very familiar to the starting zone, where you have to navigate through rocky terrain to reach the sacred Jedi site.
