In this Auto Knight shorts video I give the conclusion of repairs to the handbrake / parking brake on this 2005 BMW X5 E53 SUV / SAV 3.0 fitted with the M57 straight six diesel engine.

In a previous YouTube video, during handbrake cable replacement I found the o/s/r (right rear) cable to be seized in the hub carrier. I also found seriously overheated brake pads from a seized brake caliper.

I freed up and removed the seized cable, fitted a new Pagid caliper, new brake pads, a wear sensor and a spring/pin fitting kit for the handbrake shoes. The handbrake was correctly adjusted both at the shoes / wheels and at the lever.
